Do I have to pay a setup charge for any of my orders?
No, you never have to pay a setup charge.  Direct Color provides free design and free proofs.
Can I change the message or design of Direct Color template design?
Yes, you can change the modify all of our products at no additional charge.
What if I want changes made to a design?
The sky is the limit! We don't sell cookie cutter designs, express yourself. We can match colors with your logo, change copy to suit your marketing needs add we won't charge a dime extra!
Do I get to approve my design before you print it?
Yes 100%. We will email your proof within 2 business days for your approval.  We will send you unlimited proofs until you are 200% satisfied at NO extra cost.
How will I know the quality of your magnets without seeing them?
We manufacture our magnets in the United States out of the highest quality materials. Our magnets are strong 25mil thick -about as thick as a dime and can hold 3-5 sheets of notebook paper on the fridge capable of holding 3-5 sheets of paper. Of course, if you'd like to see for yourself please contact us and we'll send a free sample pack your way. We're sure you'll be as confident about the quality of our magnets as we are.
Are your postcards and business cards printed in full color on both sides?
Yes, all of our postcards and business cards are printed in full color on both sides.
What are the sizes of your postcards?
.Our standard sizes our 6 x 4.25  and large size is 8.5 x 5.5.  However, if you need a custom size we would be happy to send you a quote. Send all quote requests to info@direct-color.com
What paper stocks do you print on?
We print on ultra thick 16 point cardstock with UV laminated finish. . For our brochures 100lb glossy text paper with Aqueous coating. These paper stocks are among the best quality when compared to our competitors.
What is UV?
UV coating an extremely high gloss coating that provides a moisture, curl and fade resistant finish. UV cannot be used with inkjet printers, laser printers, and postage meters.  If you are using a mailing service, check if the UV coated paper is acceptable.  Most mailing services cannot print on this coating

What type of printing press does Direct Color use?
We use the highest-quality offset printing press, A Heidelberg speed master. No low quality digital postcards here!
Can I combine several designs for the 1,000 or 5,000  quantity price break?
No, the price break is for the same design.  However, we do offer a discount for multiple orders.  For a quote email Direct Color  info@direct-color.com .
Can two agents share a postcard, business card or magnet?
Yes! EVERY template design can be shared to by two agents!  We Sharing is a great way to reduce marketing cost.
Can you print my Mail Permit / Indicia on my postcards?
Yes, on all of our order forms you have the option to have your Mail Permit / Indicia printed on your postcards saving you time and money. There will be a space provided for you to fill in the appropriate information. You may also fax over a copy of your Mail Permit / Indicia to us for your order at 888-245-1337
Is it safe to order from Direct Color over the Internet?
Yes. Direct Color, Inc. uses a 128-bit encryption key issued by Comodo, Inc. to protect your credit card information. When a secure connection is initiated, your browser encrypts information transferred back to Direct Color Inc. This information can only be decrypted using the private key installed on Direct Color's secure server.
How will my order be shipped?
All of our orders will be shipped by UPS Ground. We will email you a tracking number when it is shipped so that you will able to track it.  Transit 2-3 business days.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Once we receive your initial order and order confirmation along with the proof date is sent via email in 2 hours or less.  Proofs are sent via email in 2 business days or less. No additional fee for revised proofs. After your final approval is received we will complete your order and ship it within 5 business days (magnetic products allow 7 to 9 business days).
 
What is your return policy?
Reprint requests must be made within 30 days from the date your order shipped. Final determination of a reprint, refund or account credit will be made by our Customer Service department.  Once you have given your approval to print, you accept full responsibility and have verified the accuracy of your order. Direct Color, Inc. is not responsible for any errors or omissions such as but not limited to spelling, graphics, bleeds, grammar, fonts, and punctuation, so please be sure to check your proof carefully in comparison to any original artwork you provided if applicable.
   
Artwork and File Submission
To ensure that your art submissions can be processed in a smooth and timely manner, please read and follow the artwork specifications as described below. If you are outsourcing your design work to a graphics house, agency, or freelance artist, please make sure that they have a copy of these specifications before they begin working on your design.
What type of print ready files can I send to Direct-Color.com?
Note: All files must be 300dpi or higher (anything less will produce a blurry/fuzzy/pixilated print and we cannot be held responsible
for low resolution pictures or logos, etc.).

• Adobe Illustrator (Extension .AI) - create all fonts to outlines and embed all images

• EPS, TIFF, JPEG, BMP - 300 dpi required
• Adobe InDesign (Extension. INDD) - Included fonts and images
What color mode should my files be?
If you send us an RGB file, there is a chance that a color shift may occur and you may not be satisfied with your job. You should always
start and finish your designs in CMYK color mode.

What resolution should my file be?
Low resolution files may be printed as is or will be placed on hold until we receive new files, slowing your turn-around.  We only accept 300 dpi files and no less.

How should I set up my bleed and crop marks?
Bleed must extend further than the cut line. Using one of our Direct-Color.com Templates can help you visualize this. Please keep all text and anything you do not want cut at least .125” away from the cut line. When sending an .eps or .pdf, make sure you include crop marks so we can cut the job correctly.

How do I export a .pdf correctly?
When exporting from any program such as Indesign or Illustrator, use these settings to make sure your .PDF files export correctly.
